Queens: 94th Street - Ditmars Boulevard

94th Street north from Ditmars Boulevard to Nineteenth Avenue. The creek in the foreground is known as Jackson's Mill Pond. He operated a grext mill here in the middle of the 19th century. According to J. Riker Jr's. map of 1852 of Newton, the one story building seen at the right is probably near or on the site of the mill. The road extending to the left beyond the creek is Old Bowery Road. The foundation for the mill was laid by Peter C. Luyster in 1668.
