Celebrations - Parades - Municipal events - The Lincoln Funeral.

Celebrations, Parades and Municipal Events: The Lincoln funeral procession on Broadway, at Union Square, as it is turning westward on 14th Street. The remains arrived at the Desbrosses Street Ferry on the 24th and were placed in state at the City Hall. Leaving the next day for a similar service at Albany, they were carried in the procession shown to the Harlem River Railroad Depot. The line of march was up Broadway to 14th Street, west on same to Fifth Avenue, up the Avenue to 34th Street, and west through 34th Street to 9th Avenue.
