Manhattan: Broadway - 12th Street

Broadway, east side, from 14th to 12th Streets. The Demarest Building on the S.W. corner of 14th Street, built by the Domestic Sewing Machine Company in 1872, was at that time the highest building in New York, and was so advertised. It will be replaced by a twenty-three story building between 1925 and 1930. The Roosevelt Building, which adjoins it, will stand in 1936. About 1921. Edwin Levick.
