Manhattan: State Street - Whitehall Street

No's 1 to 5 State Street, at adjoining and west of the N.W. corner of Whitehall Street (right). Upon the latter thoroughfare appears a view to Pearl Street. The corner buildings comprising No's 1 to 3 State Street and 40 to 46 Whitehall Street were demolished in 1913. Upon this site was erected the 12-story South Ferry Building. No. 1 is occupied by the Seamen's Church Institute; No. 2, the British Consulate General and No. 4, the Deutsches Lutheran Emigraten Haus (German Lutheran Emigrant House). 1912 Gift of Urbrock Collection H.
