Manhattan: Varick Street - King Street

Excavation on the west side of Varick Street, from King to Houston (formerly Hammersley) Streets. The entire block, from Varick to Hudson Streets, has been demolished for a new United States Appraiser's Stores Building. Across this clearing may be seen the old houses on the west side of Hudson Street, Nos. 363 to 385. December 7, 1927. P. L. Sperr.
