Brooklyn: Hubbard Place - Kings Highway

4048 Hubbard Place, south side, west of King's Highway, once known as No. 13 Hubbard Place, showing The Hubbard Homestead, believed to have been built in 1705 by the Ditmas Family. This house was known as the "Little House with the Windmill", also as the Van Sinderen House having been the home of the Rev. Tiplianus Van Sinderen for whom it was built. The Reverend served as pastor for the Dutch Reformed Church from 1742 to 1796, when he died. This house was occupied by the Misses E. and J.
