Manhattan: 33rd Street (West) - 11th Avenue

West 33rd Street, south side, at Eleventh Avenue, show- the New York Central Railroad yards and the Eleventh Ave. ramp being carried across same. Fringing the southerly side of this extensive transportation locale, is the elevated roadbed that carries these trains southward to the St. John's Freight Depot, downtown. The buildings beyond are to the south of West 30th Street. The white 'utilitarian feature at the left is the new U. S. Parcel Post Bldg. on Ninth and Tenth Avenues. This replaced the old Milk Depot. On the right margin appears a substantial part of the outstanding Street-Lehigh Bldg. extending between Eleventh and Thirteenth Avenue's. August 24, 1940 No's. 1-2 P. L. Sperr
