Queens: 102nd Street - 23rd Avenue

102nd Street, west side, between Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth Avenues, showing in three views the Strong farm outbuildings. Owners of the place were Mrs. A. Strong, 1852, Mrs. J. Strong, 1860; and Benjamin Strong, 1873-1891. Simon Remsen born 1848 married a daughter of Daniel Rapelje and occupied his father-in-law's farm on Bowery Bay. Simon Remsen's daughter married James Strong. The land is now (1927) covered with 2 story dwellings. May 1923 View 1,2 and 3 Eugene L. Armbruster Collection
