Manhattan: Morton Street - Hudson Street

(1) Morton Street, east from Hudson Street, showing the bend which marks the eastern end of the original Morton Street and the western end of the former Ardens Street, a much narrower Street which was amalgamated with Morton Street in 1829. The little gap between Nos. 46 and 44, where the bend occurs on the south side of the street, exactly marks the eastern boundary line of the old Trinity Church Farm. No. 44 is a three-story house adjoining the three five-story tenements 42-40-38 Morton Street. June 3, 1930. P. L. Sperr. (2) A similar view three years later, but not including Hudson Street. Nos. 61 and 59 are the two small houses on the north side adjoining a new apartment building, which is only slightly visible here, at 438 Hudson Street on the N.E. corner (and including 67-63 Morton Street).
