Queens: 159th Street - Evans Avenue
159th Street, west side, north from Evans Road, showing homes that were typical of old Jamaica. 159th Street was formerly Prospect Street, and Evans Road was formerly Catherine Street, a short, crooked thoroughfare. Evans Road is now an appendage to Liberty Avenue, the rest of Catherine Street having been widened and renamed Liberty Avenue. P. L. Sperr March 30, 1932
