Richmond: Clove Road - Martling Avenue

(1) 740 Clove Road, south of the S.W. corner of Martling Ave., showing the Actors' Home. It was formerly (1898-1887) the residence of Colonel R. Penn Smith, and earlier (1874) the J.L. Gates residence. The dates refer to maps, on which the owners' names appear. (2) Another view of the house as seen from the opposite direction. (3) A rear view of the Home as seen across Richmond Lake.
