Manhattan: Madison Avenue - 71st Street

Madison Avenue, east side, at 71st Street, showing St. James Protestant Episcopal Church, erected on this site in 1884. Since that time a few alterations, such as the addition of the belfrey, have been made. On the S.E. corner of 71st Street is the clearing resulting from demolition of the old Presbyterian Hospital. The Presbyterian Nurses' Home is shown on the north side of 71st Street, adjoining the church. June 8, 1928. P. L. Sperr.
