Queens: Jamaica Avenue - 150th Street

Jamaica Ave., north side, between 150th and 153rd Streets, showing in a set of four views the Rufus King house. This place was partially erected in 1750 and extended from time to time. In 1780 Widow Marsh conducted a tavern here. Christopher Smith purchased it in 1781. Amos Smith sold it in 1805 to Rufus King. See other views for more data. 1922. Views 1 and 4.
