Manhattan: West Broadway - Vesey Street
West Broadway, from Vesey (right) to Park (left) Streets, showing the United States Post Office site prior to clearance. This new structure will occupy an entire block, bounded by West Broadway east to Church Street and Vesey north to Barclay Streets. The blocks to the north of same (left) are still the property of Columbia University. View No. 2 shows the P.O. site and the block to the south, with Greenwich Street for a westerly boundary and Fulton Street on the south. The "El" in the foreground is on the former while across the top appears the Sixth Avenue line on Church Street. The photographers vantage point is the Telephone Building from which he is viewing eastward. August 6, 1930 Views 1 and 2 P.L.
