Manhattan: Perry Street - 7th Avenue South

10 to 4 Perry Street, south side, between Seventh Avenue South and Greenwich Avenue. The balance of the block, to and including the S.E. corner of Waverly Place, was destroyed when Seventh Avenue South was cut through in 1915. The wedge-shaped apartment house at No. 12 was built after 1920. No. 10 was the residence of the late Thomas M. Mulry; President of the Emigrant Savings Bank and of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul, hence the name Mulry Square for the beginning of Seventh Avenue at Greenwich Avenue and 11th Street. Perry Street was first known as Ogden Street (1803), then as Henry Street (1811); it took its present name in 1813. March 15, 1932. P. L. Sperr. A more extensive view.
