Manhattan: 1st Ave. - 18th St.
First Avenue, east side, north from East 18th to 19th Streets. Shown at the latter point is a station of the 2nd Avenue "El" line. The Gramercy Theatre is a local movie house. Overhead is a gas-holder of the Consolidated Edison Company. This is one of those located in the 20th to 22nd Street area.
