Queens: Jamaica Avenue - 166th Street

(1) Jamaica Ave. (Elevated B.M.T. line thereon), south side between 166th and 168th Streets, showing a rear view of some old homes. At the left was the Hurst home from 1873-1891, occupied by the A & P Company in 1922. The address of this place was, old No. 466 Jamaica Ave. A. Duryea was owner of the middle house for the same period (1873-1891); now occupied by a barber shop. The house at the right (474-476 Jamaica Ave.) was demolished in 1924. M.
