Bronx: Kingsbridge Road (Ea - Briggs Avenue

Poe Park (Bronx): The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, in which the famous poet lived from 1846 to 1849 and wrote his poems "Annabel Lee," "Ulalume," and "Eureka." Here, too, his wife Virginia died. The cottage was originally located at 257 E. Kingsbridge Road, east side, between Briggs Avenue and E. 194th Street, and was transferred to the north end of the park in 1913.
