Wall Street, north side, west from William Street (right), across Nassau Street (center), to Broadway (left margin). Shown is an early view of the financial district. The date of the view is determined by the absence of the Washington statue on the Sub Treasury steps (1883) and the presence of the massive National Bank of the Republic (1886) to the right of Trinity Church. Between 1880-3 Gift of Urbrock Collection NOTE: To the right of the sub-treasury Bldg is the old U.S. Branch Bank, late the U.S. Assay Office. On the extreme right of the view is the Merchant's National Bank.
