383 Seventh Avenue, (Equitable Life Assurance Co. Building), east side, from W. 31st to 32nd Streets. (general view northwestward). A view across W. 34th Street towards the North (Hudson) River. In the foreground is a car parking lot between 33rd and 34th Street which will in the near future be a greyhound bus Terminal. Beyond same appears the excavation for the 40 storied Hotel New Yorker (Eighth Avenue, 34th to 35th Street). To the left is the 22 story Printing Crafts Building and the 18 story J. C. Penney Corporation Building. In the center of View 2 is the 22 story Pennsylvania building No. 241 W. 34th Street, behind same, on the south side of W. 35th Street are numerous new 16 and 17 story loft and factory buildings forming a portion of the garment center that clusters around Seventh and Eighth Avenues.
