At the time it was built, the store of 42 Union Square, adjoining, was occupied by Flaxman Woolen, Incorporated. March 25, 1933. P. L. Sperr. (2) The same, Election Day of that year, when, for the first time in twenty years, the Tammany candidates for Mayor, Comptroller, and Aldermanic President were all defeated. But the Borough President and four candidates for County Offices, whose names follow the first three, were elected.
