Manhattan: 54th Street (West) - 7th Avenue

West 54th Street, north side, west from No. 145 (right) a point east of Seventh Ave., and across same to Broadway (extreme left) showing in the foreground several former garages converted into night clubs. These enterprises were an outgrowth of Prohibition. The apartment house shown at the N.E. corner replaced the Grace Dutch Reformed Church that stood there. October 22, 1927. P. L. Sperr.
