Brooklyn: New Lots Avenue - Van Siclen Avenue

(1) 569 New Lots Ave., north side, east of Van Siclen Ave., showing the home of the Van Siclen's from about 1730 to 1887. This house was said to have been erected in 1730. It is now, 1929, used as a gasoline station. John Van Siclen during the War of 1812, was employed by the government as a mail carrier.
