Manhattan: City Hall Park.

City Hall Park: A view of the New York City Hall, when the Tweed Ring was building the County Court House. The wooden structure shown atop the latter was placed there, so that the public could not observe the slow progress being made. It cost the city $8,000,000 more than it should have; Tweed and his Ring taking the money. About 1875? Brown Bros.
