Queens: 78th Street - 32nd Avenue

78th Street, west side, 150 feet south of 32nd Avenue, showing the headquarters of the famous "Black Watch" during the Revolution. It was built more than 200 years ago and during the campaign on Long Island commanding officers of the 42nd Highlanders, it was said, lived in this farmhouse. These views show the original location on Trains Meadow Road, an ancient zigzagging country road, later obliterated. Views 1 and 2 are in a northerly direction; views 3 and 4, in a southerly.
