Manhattan: 50th Street (West) - 5th Avenue

(1) West 50th Street (foreground), north side, west from Fifth Ave. (right), to but not including Sixth Ave. The entire block was demolished as a part of the Rockefeller Center development. In the foreground appears a portion of the cleared area on the south side of West 50th Street, extending to West 49th Street, which is part of the new development, with the steel skeleton of the 70-story R.C.A. building appearing in the left foreground.
