120 Wall Street, (American Sugar Refining Building); - South Street, west side, from Wall to Pine Streets, (general view northward). A set of 3 views photographed in the general direction of Broadway and showing upon same the Equitable, Transportation and Woolworth Buildings. To the left is Wall Street and thru the center runs Pearl Street. In View 1 appears the cleared area upon which will rise the 67 storied, 60 Wall Tower. The new structure to the right is the 22 storied, No. 1 Cedar Street Co. plant (smokestacks shown) one to the foot of the New York Steam Co. plant (smokestacks shown) one sees another new structure under construction. This is the 35 story, No. 1 Platt Street. To the west and in the same block close observance will note the excavation for another insurance center building, the 28 story No. 90 John Street Building. The two high buildings forming a backdrop are over the 25 story Insurance Central and the 14 story National Board of Fire Underwriters.
