Richmond:] Staten Island - Stapleton - [Rubsam and Horrmann Brewery].

(1) Stapleton, Staten Island: A general view eastward across the town and piers on the Upper New York Bay. In the center of the view is visible the Rubsam and Horrmann Atlantic Brewery; to its left is the funnel of an ice manufacturing plant. In the foreground is a children's playground on the east side of Targee Street, where a municipal courthouse was later erected. The piers, counting from left to right, begin with No. 12 and continue in arithmetic progression. The view is from the hill above Van Duzer Street. Mid 1920's P. L. Sperr (2) Viewing across Stapleton, in a slightly more northerly direction, towards Tompkinsville; The piers counting from right to left in arithmetic regression, begin with No. 14. On the extreme left is Van Duzer Street; running parallel to it is Targee Street, and in the center of the view, running uphill, is Grove Street. Mid 1920's P. L.
