The New York Times of August 3, 1939, reports the sale of this church building (built 1886) by the Reformed Low Dutch Church of Harlem, to the Greater New York Corporation of Seventh Day Adventists. The former owners, descendants of early Dutch settlers who organized in 1660, moved in 1928 to the former home of the Church of the Beloved Disciple at No. 59-67 East 89th Street.
