Manhattan: Lexington Avenue - 68th Street

Normal College for Women (later known as Hunter College), rear view, Lexington Avenue, west side, from 68th to 69th Streets. The square tower, in the left background, is on the S.E. corner of Park Avenue and 69th Street. The building as here shown is brand new. In the foreground is the space later to be occupied by Thomas Hunter Hall. At the time of this picture Lexington Avenue had not been cut through. Ewing Galloway, 1872.
