Battery Park, at the Ellis Island Ferry House, view east. The woman in the foreground is a fortune teller, for a nominal fee her parrot will pick you a printed card out of the box and on it you may read future weal or woe. You will probably be offered your choice of three or four different languages. In the background is the South Ferry elevated station, where all four elevated lines have a united southern terminal.
