Amsterdam Ave., east side, north from West 68th Street (right) to Sherman Square (left, caused by convergence and intersection of Amsterdam Ave. and Broadway at West 72nd Street), showing prominently the "Nevada", an apartment hotel, occupying the southern apex of the Square and occupying that triangular block between 69th and 70th Streets. The southern side of this structure, forming the north side of 69th Street appears illuminated across a gas station on the opposite side. December 19, 1937. P. L. Sperr.
