Manhattan: 5th Avenue - 73rd Street

Fifth Avenue, east side, north from E. 73rd to 74th Streets, showing private dwellings facing Central Park and which constitute a portion of Manhattan's "Gold Coast". At the extreme left is a 12 story apartment house (No. 927 Fifth Avenue, at the S.E. corner of 74th Street) upon the site of the former A.D. Pell home. Owners of the other structures are (or were) J.A. Simpson, M. W. Terrell (subsequently by Reed L. Carr), Georgia W. Warren, Eliza Guggenheimer and Geo. W. Quintard. View 2 and 3 show only the latter feature. The white building adjoining same was remodelled for apartment use and a report to that effect carried in the New York Times of November 30, 1937. Chas. S.
