Manhattan: York Avenue - 72nd Street
York Avenue (Formerly Avenue A), north from 72nd Street. Most of this section was built up in the late 1880's. The building on the N.W. corner of 72nd Street is newer, around 1900; a two-story wooden house used to stand on that corner. August 21, 1929. P. L. Sperr.
