Manhattan: Hudson Street - Barrow Street

Hudson Street, east side, north from Barrow Street, showing the old two-story structures with slanting roof and gables which were typical of this district in the latter part of the Nineteenth Century and first few years of the Twentieth. No. 464 on the corner of Barrow Street, and Nos. 466 to 480, which are frame houses with brick facing, are about to be replaced by a new brick apartment house. Beyond Public School No. 3, at the north corner of Grove Street, notice the new building at 494-496, which has replaced the old houses shown at that site in 1912 when the Public School was being built.
