Queens: Jamaica Avenue - 77th Street
Jamaica Ave., north side, between 77th and 78th Streets, showing the Old Lott farmhouse. Stephen Lott came from Pennsylvania and settled at Woodhaven. His son Hendrick was born in 1761 in this farmhouse. Other Lotts born here were Stephen N, in 1820; and his son Charles Vanderveer, in 1846. Daniel W. Ketcham and Nicholas M. Pette, sons-in-law of the late Charles Vanderveer Lott occupied it after 1891. Dickel Bros., builders, purchased and demolished it in December 1922. 1922. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
