Richmond: Manor Road - Brielle Avenue

(1) Manor Road, west side, 350 yards south of Brielle Avenue, showing the old Egbert House, dating back to colonial days. It passed into the hands of J. Wood, according to Butler's 1853 map, and to White, according to Beers's maps of 1874 and 1887. Still later it became the property of Theodore Siersema, and David Kaplan, as indicated in the Robinson atlases of 1898 and 1907, respectively. Mr. P. L. Sperr states that the house was being used as the sheepherder's cottage of Sea View Hospital, at the time this photograph was taken. T)is view showa the east side and rear of the house. 1924 P. L.
