Manhattan: 10th Avenue - 14th Street (West)
Tenth Avenue, north from West 14th Street, showing the thoroughfare that is popularly known as "Railroad or Death Avenue." Train tracks in the foreground determined that appellation. At the left, are the National Biscuit Co. Building and the Merchants Refrigerating Co. plant. The former also occupy the structure on the right.
