Note the gas holders and smoke stacks of the former New York Mutual Gas Company, now the Consolidated Edison Company, between E.11th and E.14th Streets. This new thoroughfare will skirt same at the waters edge and continue Northward to 17th Street, where it will bend Eastward to continue up to the present Exterior Street.
