Morningside Park: A set of two views forming a panorama of the southerly portion of same which is bounded in these views by Cathedral Parkway (foreground, not seen), Manhattan Ave. (right) and Morningside Drive (left). Forking of Manhattan Ave. at West 114th Street is Morningside Ave. to continue the easterly boundary of the Park. Atop the bluff at the left is the Cathedral of St. John (Protestant Episcopal) in a skeletal state. North of same are the 8 story structures of St. Luke's Hospital. The photographer's vantage point is the 110th Street station of the Ninth Ave. Elevated line and is viewing northwestward. George L. Balgue. March 1906.
