211, 215 and 221-27 E. 37th Street, north side, east of Third Avenue, showing the Jarcho Building which may be demolished. This is an 8 story structure that has only recently replaced 3 former 3 story tenements. A vacant lot (former 4 story No. 219) separates this from the New York Telephone Company Building. Note the construction activity at the latter necessitated by an easterly addition of similar height replacing former tenements, No's 229-231.
