Manhattan: 4th Avenue - 20th Street

Fourth Avenue, west side, looking north from 20th Street. Offices of Citizens' Union, a non-partisan organization for political reform, can be seen in second story of building at N. W. corner of 20th Street. This organization is now (1935) located on William Street near City Hall. Brown Brothers, Photographers. 1906 Alice and Phoebe Cary resided in the back house (52 E. 20th St.) with bay window and three dormers. [illegible manuscript notation], [dated] 1/27/[19]71
