East 241st Street (extreme left), south side, east from but not including White Plains Road, to and including Furman Ave. The frame house, in the right foreground, bears No. 4640 Garden Place, adjoining the S.E. corner of East 241st Street. Garden Place, a one block street is at this date (1937) no longer in existence. The frame houses in the center face on the east side of Furman Ave. Photographers vantage point is the "L" station at 241st Street and White Plains Road. May 24, 1928. P. L. Sperr.
