Clarence Davies Collection, Museum of the City of New York The New York Sun of December 22, 1938 reports the filing of plans for a modern, 6 story apartment on the present site of Nos. 517-21 E. 86th Street. This structure, at a cost of $175,000 will rise to the west of Misericorde Hospital and stand where the three buildings in the larger view are.
