Brooklyn: Church Avenue - 53rd Street (East)

(1) Church Ave., at the N.W. corner of East 53rd Street. (Church Ave., is in the foreground, with the trolley tracks). The person who took the picture states it was the home of John Schenck. The maps of 1890, show it to be the estate of George Schenck, which contained five square blocks in this area. The house was razed in 1927. September 1927. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
