Manhattan: 14th Street (West) - 9th Avenue

14th Street, east from and including 333 West 14th Street, north side, east of Ninth Avenue, south side in shadow. The double houses 325-7 and 309-11 West 14th Street are pictured individually in separate views made this same time. On the N.W. corner of Eighth Avenue may be seen the New York Savings Bank, the newer building erected not much before 1910. the very new skyscraper at the N.E. corner is the 20-story Lawyers County Trust company. the fag is flying from the old Ninth Regiment Armory (now 244th Coast Artillery) west of Sixth Avenue. In the background may be seen the tower of the new Consolidated Gas Building (1928)at the N.E. corner of Irving Place. July 16, 1932 P. L. Sperr.
