Manhattan: 19th Street - 1st Avenue
19th Street, south side, west from No. 352, just west of First Avenue. The row of four-story buildings in the foreground, Nos. 352-336, were built around 1860. The three six-story apartment houses in the centre went up about 1900. No. 242 East 19th Street, the 15-story apartment house on the S.W. corner of Second Avenue, was built between 1925 and 1928.
