Eighth Avenue, west side, between W. 16th and 17th Streets, showing a rear view and yards of structures at this location, as viewed northeastward from the roof of a building to the west of the Avenue and on the north side of W. 16th Street. Across same appears loft buildings on the north side of 17th Street, extending eastward from Eighth to Seventh Avenues. At the latter point is the dominating structure, a Telephone Company Building.
