Brooklyn: Myrtle Avenue - Oxford Street (North)

Myrtle Avenue, north side, east from North Oxford Street, showing a continuous area in two views. View 1 extends to a point near Cumberland Street; view 2 begins in the center of the block, beginning with number 313, and runs east across Cumberland Street. All the buildings comprising the block from North Oxford to Cumberland Streets will be razed to make way for the erection of Fort Greene Houses, a low-rent municipal housing center. October 12, 1940 Views 1,2 P. L. Sperr View 3 shows the area east from Cumberland Street, all the buildings seen in view 1 having been razed to make way for the new housing center. The buildings extend across to cleared up on the east side of Carlton Avenue.
