Queens: Metropolitan Avenue - Fresh Pond Road

Metropolitan Avenue, at the S.E. corner of Fresh Pond Road, showing at the corner the Bushwick Station of the Long Island Railroad. This area consisting of 7 3/4 acres was purchased by one Braujes on June 26, 1862 for 5,252 dollars. About 1 3/4 acres were sold to the Long Island Railroad for about the above amount and the remainder in 1909 to the Bushwick Junction Real Estate Co. for $50,000. 1922 Eugene L.
